Community shares final comments on Market Street Bridge rehab as it moves toward construction

Community members shared some final thoughts on the upcoming Market Street Bridge reconstruction at a meeting Monday.

At a PennDOT open house in city hall, residents and business owners seemed relatively satisfied with the current proposal to rehab the bridge, a plan that has gone through many iterations since it was first announced in 2021.

Monday’s meeting was part of PennDOT’s public comment period, happening now through Sept. 7. Those who missed the in-person meeting can review plans and comment online.
