Revitalization plan, millions of dollars in state funding announced for downtown Harrisburg

The commonwealth has committed $23 million to downtown Harrisburg’s revitalization.

During a press conference on Monday, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced the investment, which will support a newly released plan to add amenities, housing, infrastructure upgrades and entertainment downtown.

Shapiro said that the state money will come with an additional $40 million in private sector investments, totaling over $60 million headed downtown.
